My garden in Tucson"Be" was written probably in 2000 or 2001 while I was living in Cascabel. It is actually, I think, the first poem I wrote when I decided to start writing. I was thinking of conversations my friends had about philosophy and theology and my own thoughts on those subjects. The sunset was particularly beautiful ( Arizona has no shortage of beautiful sunsets) and I couldn't help but relate it to spirituality. Spirituality in the earthbound sense.
